Haven’t talked much my job search lately. I have been doing a lot of research, especially on LinkedIn and job search sites. My former employer set me up with a transition company, and have been working with them, and have started studying interview questions. Still haven’t found too many data center related open positions, however. Still holding out hope. Would love to find something where I could continue using Aperture Vista to manage DCIM, but haven’t found anything related to that.
I have been also looking into what to do with my pension money; whether to start a decreased monthly payment now, wait until 65, or just get the lump sum now. None of the choices are obvious for me, being so far away from ‘normal’ retirement age. Had meetings with two financial advisors last week, and both recommended I take the lump sum though, and invest it now to hopefully get enough capital gains by the time I’m ready to retire. Probably what I will do, and then roll it over into an IRA. Now, what to do with that 401k…
